About
the Team
ProMotion Cycling is a cycling team based out of Lexington, KY dedicated
to the growth of the sport of cycling in the region. The club was founded
in 2000, by a group of avid road, mountain, and cyclocross racers. The
club works to promote the sport through programs such as bicycle safety
programs at local schools, conducting races in the Lexington area, and
conducting weekly racing workouts for local riders.
In addition, ProMotion Cycling is very involved in the local and national
racing scene. On the roade, the team members have a United States Cycling
Federation (USCF) Category 1, 2, or 3 ranking. ProMotion Cycling has a
presence at most major races within 5 hours of Lexington and has been
able to hold its own in the results. Some of these results include victories
at some of the most well-known and challenging races in the region, including
the Carnegie Classic Stage Race, the Highland Rim Classic Stage race,
the Ohio/West Virginia State Championships, and the Cabarrus Classic Team
Omnium to name a few.
Off Road, Promotion Cycling has riders competing in nationally known endurance
mountain bike events such as 24 Hours of Snowshoe, Bridge to Bridge Mountain
Bike Race, Leadville 100 Mountain Bike Race, 24 Hours of Moab, and 24
hours of Adrenalin, GA. The team is well represented in the Kentucky Point
Series Moutain Bike Series. In Cyclocross, the team also has riders competing
on both coasts in national races.
Promotion Cycling is always interested in new members. If you a cyclist
